About the 2006 Mountain Treasures Festival

 

The 2006 Mountain Treasures Festival that took place on July 4th 2006 and was coordinated and hosted by Dungannon Development Commission, Inc. The theme for the 2006 festival was deemed "Where Memories are made and Never Forgotten" The parade kicked off the first activity of the day's festivities. Serving as grand marshals of the 2006 parade was Cornellia Bevins. The line up of events for the days festivities was as follows:

Baby Miss Firecracker: Abbie Taylore;1st Runner-up: Kristen Jones, and 2nd Runner-up: Amber Finch

Wee Miss Patriotic: Brooklin Baker; 1st Runner-up: Jocelyn Duncan; 2nd Runner-up: Elizabeth Wells

Tiny Miss Independence: Jasmine Colemen, 1st Runner-up: Summer Dockery; 2nd Runner-up: (tie) ?Kira Brown and Savannah Brickey.

Little Miss Red, White and Blue: Samatntha Barney; 1st Runner-up: Kiana Epperson; 2nd Runner-up: Rykiela Street.

Teen Miss American Pride: Branid Bones.

Miss Lady Liberty: Hunter Compton.

The day's festivities was capped off with a Fireworks Display that took place from Dungannon Intermediate School softball field.

The Dungannon Development Commission, Inc. thanks all the individuals and businesses that contributed and continuing support to the Mountain Treasures Festival. Without the support and efforts of these contributors in making the Mountain Treasures Festival come from a dream to a reality for it was not for their dedication the event would not be possible. We graciously appreciate their assistance in this years 24th Annual Mountain Treasures Festival.
