Mountain Treasures Festival
July 1-3, 2011

Join us for a day of celebration and patriotism in the town of Dungannon, Virginia. The 29th Annual Mountain Treasures Festival is a fun, and affordable event that represents not only our heritage, but also a strong sense of community spirit. The Mountain Treasures Festival is Scott County’s largest Fourth of July celebration.
People of all ages, from all walks of life find pleasure and enjoyment in the day's activities. The day is filled with family fun events. The celebration will include a festive parade, amusements for children and adults, and entertainment that will delight everyone.

The 2011 Mountain Treasures Festival will Start July 1st and end on July 3rd.
The traditional parade

Vendor Information
Any
individual or organization
planning to set up a vendor booth must register by completing
an
registration application.
If you are a food vendor, you are required
to file a Temporary Restaurant Permit with the
Scott County Health Dept.
15 days prior to the festival.

Town Wide Yard Sale

The Dungannon Development Commission, Inc. will sponsor a town-wide yard sale Friday, July 1st. To secure a yard sale location on the town-wide list, send a $5 donation to the Dungannon Development Commission, Inc., 344 Phoenix Street. If you would prefer not to have the sale at your home, yard sale space will also be available for a fee of $10. A flyer containing a list of the yard sale
locations will be made available on June 25th at Dungannon Development
Commission’s Main Office, Dungannon Thrift Store and The Dungannon Town Hall. For information call the Dungannon Development Commission, Inc. at (276) 467-2306.

Miss 4th of July
Theme Wear Pageant.
The Pageant will take place
at 6:00 p.m.
on July 1st at the Dungannon Intermediate School.
The Pageant has six divisions. Participation gifts will be given
to contestants who do not place. Miss 4th of July will receive
a trophy, custom banner and a beautiful crown. 1st & 2nd runners
up will be awarded in each division. Those winners will receive
a nice trophy.
The People’s Choice/Most Sponsors category is being combined. For those wishing to collect sponsorship money, it may be turned into the pageant director or placed in the Peoples Choice container for determination of this award. The winner of the People's Choice/Most Sponsors category will receive
a trophy, custom banner and a beautiful crown.
