DUNGANNON, Va. - Edna Ann Lane, 76, was called home unexpectedly June
23, 2005 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Edna lived her entire life in Dungannon, Va.,
and was very active in her community and church. She was a faithful
member of Midway Baptist Church, an honorary member of the Dungannon
Fire Department, Treasurer of Board of Directors of the Dungannon Development
Commission, as well as a member of the Dungannon Women's Club.
Edna was dearly loved and will be greatly missed
by all her friends and loved ones. She was a member of the Dungannon
Depot and Dungannon Volunteer Fire Department.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Willie
Lee Lane (1992); brothers, Jackie Dockery and Jerry Dockery; parents,
Wrightly and Bessie Dockery; sister, Bonnie Cox; stepmother, Beulah
Dockery; granddaughter, Tracey Rosario.
Edna is survived by her son, Dwight and Mildred
Lane, Gate City, Va.; daughters and son-in-law, Doris and Keith Slider,
Mt. Carmel, Dorothy Gilliam, Dungannon, Va.; grandchildren, Tony and
Ronni Smith, Florence, Ky., Michael and Amy Dooley, Gate City, Va.,
Travis and Marsha Barnett, Gate City, Va., Lila Gilliam, Dungannon,
Va., Keith Slider, Jr. and wife, Amy, Kingsport; great-grandsons, Brevin
Dooley, Anthony Smith, Mason Barnett, Shane Slider and Keith Slider,
III; brothers, Pridemore, Lucian, Freddie, and Wrightly Dockery, Jr.,
all of Dungannon, Va., and Jimmy Dockery, Kingsport; sisters, Laura
"Dottie" Stephens, Castlewood, Va., Wanda Raines, Manchester,
Tenn., Joann Grizzle, Barbara Summey, Donna Dockery and Phyllis Williams,
all of Dungannon, Va.; many nieces and nephews; and very special friends
include Howard and Anna Lee Flanary, Donnie and Lizzie Sluss, Jean Lane,
Laura Kate Lane and Mac Quillen.
