DDC to Assist Other Non-Profit Groups
4 Quarters - 4 Causes

The Board of Directors for the Dungannon Development Commission, Inc. has decided to help other non-profits in Scott County this year by hosting 4 Causes in 4 Quarters. With this endeavor, the office staff has chosen 4 days, one every 3 months, to donate the earnings from the Dungannon Thrift Store and the Mountain Treasures Thrift Store to another cause for that quarter. On March 26th , all earnings will go to the Dungannon Food Bank, on May 28th, Scott County Relay For Life will benefit from the sales of the day. September 24th, all proceeds will be given to the Scott County Humane Society and on November 26th Scott County Headstart will get what is brought in at the stores. Fund-raising is a very stressful and difficult task for any organization, and as DDC is fully aware, all help is needed that can be found. Please join the board and staff of DDC as we do our part to make some much needed money for these worthy causes, and reap the benefits for yourself as well. Both Dungannon Thrift Store and Mountain Treasures Thrift Store are now stocked with Spring and Summer attire so that you can begin your families summer wardrobe on a budget. With the rising costs of gasoline and other household staples, a penny saved here and there are fully appreciated. So don't forget to shop at Mountain Treasures and Dungannon Thrift Stores on March 26th for this Big Day of Benefits. Also on that day, collection boxes will be at both stores for donations of canned and other non-perishable foods for the Food Bank. All donations are tax deductible and go to needy families in Scott County.
